TRAUMA

Too much too fast...                         Too little for too long...

Trauma is not only about what happens to you. Trauma is about how your body responds to what happens to you, impacted by the context, relational attunement, the environment, and the level of support and care received during and after an event.

As your therapist, I help you safely explore and address injuries from experiences that have left a traumatic imprint in your body.

I am a trauma-informed therapist, trained in sensory modalities that reach the subconscious. I have training in the Trauma Research Foundation's Traumatic Stress Studies, RIM (Regenerating Images in Memory), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing Psychotherapy, and Internal Family Systems, developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, in which I am a trained Level 2 practitioner.

Early childhood trauma can lead to feelings of self doubt and insecurity, and shows up as what is often diagnosed as depression, anxiety, addiction behaviors, and/or other clinical issues, and necessitates exploration from a stance of compassion, attentiveness, and curiosity.

Trauma Healing

Traumatic experiences from the past may pull you into enactments in current relationships, leaving you feeling powerless and hopeless. I help you stabilize your turbulence, helping you develop skills that will ensure your sense of safety as the first layer for increasing security and hope.

Utilizing a trauma-informed lens, we access your spontaneous imagination and use your own sensory and emotional system to process the traumatic imprint, shifting feelings and belief states, and unblocking your access to connection, compassion, clarity, and internal safety.
